Defining the Boundaries
Desert Mountain is located in the high Sonoran Desert, bordering Tonto National Forest Carefree and North Cave Creek Road. The area is mainly a private golf community that offers a quieter and rural lifestyle with beautiful mountain and desert views. The temperature is slightly cooler because elevation ranges between 2,500 to 4,800 feet.

There are six Jack Nicklaus signature golf courses that comprise the luxurious 8,000-acre golf community of Desert Mountain. There are plenty of trails for hiking, biking, and horseback riding that are provided by the surrounding mountains. Residents can enjoy the many quaint stores, restaurants and art galleries at the nearby towns of Carefree and Cave Creek.
